4th of July and the pool..........

We have been busy and I thought I better update before I forget everything that has been going on with us.
We had a cookout for the 4th of July here at our house. It was fun and we had a lot of great food. I have to say, I made my fruit pizza on my Pampered Chef stone and guess what, it looked pretty but the stone was not seasoned enough and the whole thing stuck to the stone!! There is a picture so check it out! At least it looked pretty, right! ha!
After the cookout, we headed over to Purdue to the fireworks there. It was fun but it didnt last long enough. I have a LOT of pics from the day..........................

Eric and Carrie...............

These pics were taken at Purdue. Some are before the fireworks began and some are afterwards. The kids had a great time and it wasn't too crowded.

Ava insisted on wearing these glasses so Julie didn't argue with her!

Texas Roadhouse passed out frisbies to everyone.............

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, awwwwwwwwwwwwww............

Sunday, we went to the pool with Chuck and Amy and the kids. It was pretty warm out and so the pool felt really nice.

Madison and Riley are done with their softball for the summer. Both teams did well and it was fun to watch. Kennady is in tourney and she plays again Friday night. I think I will miss going to all the games!
Tomorrow night I am meeting some friends for dinner and a movie. I am so excited to get together with them. I will try to take my camera and get some pics.
Saturday we plan on working in the yard again. Speaking of yard, Eric and I mulched the whole front yard last weekend and it looks awesome!! I will try to get some pics of that too! I can't believe what a difference mulching makes!! YIPEE! I wish I had before and after pics!!!
Sunday is my mothers bday. We have a surprise for her so I cant say what it is in case she reads this. Heck, I dont know if she knows this site but just in case, I will tell you after Sunday what we did for her. I will say that we are having a BBQ though. She is going to be 61 years old. I dont think we can surprise her this year like we did last year with a surprise party though! Man, she was SURPRISED!!! We love you mom and do want you to have a great day!!
One more thing................as most of you know, we are in the process of becoming foster parents. Our caseworker called and is coming for a home visit on July 22! YEAH! We are so excited and I think that will mean we are very close to getting our license!! YIPEE!! Cross your fingers and say some prayers for us that everything goes well.....................Until next time........................

Congrats on the foster parent meeting! I didn't know you were doing that. My cousin and her husband have been doing that for a few years now and really love it. They have adopted 4 children! Have a fun weekend!
